A goat

So I had an excellent video depicting the traditional slaughter of a goat during Christmas/holiday time. I posted it on YouTube. YouTube removed it citing “This video has been removed due to terms of use violation.”. I fought with with YouTube but never heard anything back. The strange thing was that though they claimed it was removed and couldn’t be viewed anymore, I was still able to view it by clicking on the ‘Annotations’ button in the My Account area. Unfortunately I couldn’t download it, but I came across ScreenToaster, which is a FREE web-based utility that will record a screencast. It’s super-easy to use as well.

Awesome.

Though it couldn’t record the sound (at least as far as I could find) ScreenToaster recorded a great screencast of the video – including audio – I thought I lost forever (I had a massive computer upheaval and lost quite a few files. Yes I’ve used a Mac for 20+ years and yes the machines worked without a hitch until the advent of the iPod). ScreenToaster is a gem and very easy to use
